Narcissus' Old Age

I look at myself in the mirror and can't see my face.
I have vanished: the mirror is my face.
I have made myself vanish
– since from seeing myself too much in this broken mirror
I have lost the meaning of my face
or, having counted it so much it is now infinite to me
or the nothingness that in it, like in all things,
was hidden hides it,
the nothingness in everything like the sun in the night,
and I'm my own absence before a broken mirror.
